SUMMARY:Disclosure: Talking About Your Disability to Others with Parent to Parent
DESCRIPTION:November 15 @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm\n\n\nTalking about your child’s disability is never easy. How you explain it can impact the way others relate\, interact\, and accommodate your child’s needs. This workshop will help you explain your child’s/youth’s disability better to others\, decide how much is appropriate to disclose\, and how to improve educational outcomes\, employment opportunities\, and social relationships by disclosing the disability appropriately. \n*It’s highly recommended that student attends with parent to participate in disclosure activities during the workshop. \nBe aware that once in our facility\, you will have to wear your mask even if you are vaccinated for COVID-19. We will also adhere to COVID protocols such as temperature checks and social distancing.
