For autistic individuals\, technology can be powerful in supporting and enhancing independence. In this interactive workshop\, participants will spend a “Day in the Life” of autistic individuals of varying age and ability levels to learn about useful technology tools for the academic\, home\, and community environments. The morning will be spent with an overview of ways technology builds independence. Focusing on a “Day in the Life” of our example individuals\, the morning will continue with dozens of technology tools to support organization\, math\, reading\, and writing. The afternoon focuses on more technology tools to build independence at home with activities of daily living and in the community with an emphasis on social skills\, navigation\, and money management. Throughout the day\, participants will build a personalized tech toolbox leaving the workshop with fresh ideas\, new technology\, and tried-and-true resources to support their work. \nTraining Objectives \nUpon completion of this workshop\, participants will be able to: \n1. He is a board-certified adult psychiatrist specializing in comprehensive bio-psycho-social evaluation and treatment\, providing medical management as required. Dr. Harris made aliyah from Australia in 2007 after completing his medical training. He did a psychiatric residency at Hadassah University Hospital Ein Kerem in Jerusalem and served as Director of Psychiatric Clinical Services at Hadassah University Hospital Mount Scopus\, from 2013 to 2018\, where he was the Emergency and Consultant Liaison. In addition\, he taught psychiatry and psychopharmacology courses to medical\, pharmacology\, and nursing students at Hadassah’s medical school. To create a sensory-Inclusive setting\, slight adjustments have been made to the production including reduced sound levels\, no flashing or strobe lights and minimal special effects. An area adjacent to the theater has been designated as a Quiet Room with specially trained volunteers to provide audience support.Everyone’s favorite cat comes to mischievous life in this lively\, engaging theatrical adaptation of the Dr. Seuss classic.
