This presentation will focus on the assessment of mental health in youth who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities during the transition to adulthood years (12-26). The Lifespan Transition Clinic (LTC) at the Institute on Development & Disability (IDD) at Oregon Health and Science University provides assessment, recommendations, and collaboration with community partners for youth who experience intellectual and developmental disabilities. We will describe our methods, provide real-life experience with mental health concerns during transition years, and discuss access to needed services.
